A Telegram bot for booking clients: how it works for the pro and for the client

A client books with a pro in Telegram like this: opens the link to the bot, shares their number with a button, picks a service and a time — and gets a booking card with “Confirm” and “Cancel booking” buttons. Reminders come to the same chat for free. A pro doesn’t need to create their own bot: in Talenza it is shared, and the link to it is in the settings.
How a client books
- Opens the link to the bot. A card of the pro appears, with services and prices.
- Shares their number. Taps the “Share number” button — the number is confirmed by Telegram itself, no SMS code is needed.
- Taps “Book”. The booking page opens: service, date, free time. It’s the same page that opens by a regular link — the booking rules are the same.
- Gets a booking card in the chat: service, date and time, with “Confirm”, “Add to calendar” and “Cancel booking” buttons under them.
The client then sees all their bookings under the “My bookings” button — the five nearest.
Telegram here is not “a chat where everything is done with words”. Choosing a service and time happens on the booking page; what stays in the chat is what a chat is better for: the pro’s card, confirmation and reminders.
What the pro gets
Bookings arrive in the same schedule. A booking through the bot is no different from one made by a regular link: it appears in your schedule, and the client’s confirmation is visible in the list of bookings.
Reminders are free. While the client has the bot connected, the booking reminder comes to them in Telegram — not as a ₽10 SMS. The client replies with one tap rather than a conversation with you. More — in the article Reminders through Telegram. How much time this automation gives a pro back is in “How much time does auto-booking save”.
SMS stays as a fallback. If a client has no Telegram or has turned notifications off, the reminder goes out by SMS. A client can turn notifications off in the bot themselves, and then SMS comes back.
Where to get the link to the bot
The link to the bot is in “Settings” → “Online booking”, in the “Booking in Telegram” block. Another way: on the main screen open the “Book a client” card and switch “Site” to “Telegram” — the QR code and the link change to the bot, and the “Share” button sends exactly that. Step by step — in the knowledge base.
Put the link to the bot in a pinned message, in your Telegram profile header, or send it to clients who already message you on Telegram.
Do you need to create your own bot
No. Talenza’s bot is shared by all pros: the client opens exactly your pro’s link, and the bot shows them your card. You don’t have to set up, pay for or maintain your own bot.
When a bot won’t fit
- A client has no Telegram. Then they book by a regular link in a browser, and reminders go by SMS.
- You want a “conversational” bot. The bot doesn’t hold a dialogue: choosing a time takes place on the booking page.

Does a client need to install anything? Only Telegram. The client doesn’t need the Talenza app.
