Missed the call — lost a client in the group

A group class in Talenza is a separate group service: the pro sets how many people fit, and clients book themselves on the booking page and immediately see how many spots are already taken. There’s no need to call and ask “are there still spots?”, so a missed call during a workout no longer costs a pro a client.
A group is a separate type of service
A group service is created the same way as a regular one: name, description, price, duration, workplaces, display in the price list. One field is added to them — “How many people fit,” from 2 to 100. The type is chosen at creation (“Add service” → “Group service”) and doesn’t change afterward: you can’t turn a regular service into a group one, so you create a new one for the group.
The time for classes is determined by the same rules as for regular bookings: the workplace’s working hours, days off, grid step, booking horizon, the ban on booking right up against another one, and the break after a booking. You don’t need to keep a separate schedule for groups — it’s the same schedule as for all other services.
The client sees how many spots are taken

On the booking page, each time of a group service is labeled with how full it is: “0 of 8,” “3 of 8.” The client chooses a time and books as usual. The first booking for a free time opens the class, and the following ones join it. The same phone number can’t book the same class twice.
When the group is full, that time disappears from booking — the client simply doesn’t see the full class and chooses another. Requests from the booking page reach the pro in the same order as regular bookings.
You can add your own people yourself, even beyond the spots

Capacity limits only self-booking. The pro books participants themselves: creates a class for several people at once or adds people from the card of a class that’s already scheduled. If someone arranged it personally, you can add them even when there are no spots left on the booking page — the card will then read “9 of 8.”
Each participant is a separate booking with their own notifications and their own status. If one person can’t come, their booking is canceled and the others aren’t affected. And if the class doesn’t happen at all, it’s canceled with one button: every active participant gets the usual notification about the cancellation.
Groups and personal bookings — in one schedule

In the pro’s schedule, a group class appears as a single card among personal bookings: you can see the name, how many people are signed up out of how many, and the participants’ avatars. A pro doesn’t need a separate group list in a notebook — everything that used to be gathered through calls and chats sits in the same day as the rest of the work.
Group services suit workouts, yoga and stretching, workshops, and mini-group classes for a tutor. The client books on their own at any time, and the pro can calmly not pick up the phone during the class.
