Masters or Talenza: what should a solo pro choose

Talenza vs Masters

Masters is a service for beauty pros and mini-salons with a history since 2015 and its own CRM with financial analytics, but it has no free plan: only a 14-day trial, then from ₽408 a month. Talenza works differently — the basic plan is free with no time limit, and reminders to clients can be sent for free through a Telegram bot, not only via paid SMS.

Where Masters is strong

Masters is one of the older players on the market: the service has worked since 2015, has more than 25,000 store reviews, and a 4.9 rating. There are many directions — from manicure and hairdressing services to permanent makeup, massage, and tattoos. For a salon with several pros there’s a separate app, Masters Salon, and on the Extended VIP plan — ready-made financial reports with Excel export and automatic WhatsApp reminders in addition to SMS. If you need that depth of accounting and have a budget for a paid plan right after the trial period, that’s an honest argument in favor of Masters.

When it’s worth a look at Talenza

If you’re a solo pro or run a studio with one or two places and aren’t ready to pay for a booking system without trying it seriously for longer than two weeks, the difference is tangible right away: Talenza’s basic plan is free with no time limit, not just 14 days. A public booking page in three steps — with no password for a returning client. Reminders to clients with visit confirmation — including for free through the Telegram bot: in Masters, Telegram works only as manual sending, and automatically the service can only send SMS and (on the higher plan) WhatsApp. A portfolio of your work right in the app and search across services and clients — also with no surcharge.

If you run group classes — stretching, yoga, workshops — the difference shows here too: in Masters’ public booking widget, the “Date and time” step is built as choosing one slot for one client, there’s no counter of taken spots in a class, and a group has to be assembled outside of booking itself. In Talenza, group booking is a separate type of service: the pro sets how many people fit, and the client on the booking page immediately sees how full it is (“3 of 8”) and joins the class on their own.

How to switch

There’s no automatic data import in either direction — as when switching between any two booking services. Setup in Talenza takes about 5 minutes: a specialization, services (standard beauty services can be chosen from the catalog with the duration already filled in, rather than typed by hand), working hours, and your own booking link. The client base is moved by hand, contact by contact, as the first bookings come in.

Frequently asked questions

Does Masters have a free plan?
No — when you download the app you get 14 days of full access, after which you have to choose a paid plan: PRO from ₽408/month (prepaid for 3 months) or Extended VIP from ₽587/month (prepaid for 6 months). Talenza’s basic plan is free with no time limit.

How do automatic reminders to clients work in Masters?
Automatically, Masters can only send SMS (on both plans) and WhatsApp (only on the VIP plan) — both channels are paid by nature. Telegram and MAX are available only as manual sending: the pro writes and sends the message themselves. Talenza has a free Telegram bot that sends reminders and collects visit confirmations automatically — in addition to paid SMS, not instead of manual chatting.

Where is Masters stronger than Talenza?
Masters has been on the market since 2015, has more than 25,000 store reviews and a separate app for salons with several pros (Masters Salon), and on the VIP plan — financial reports with Excel export. If you need that depth of accounting and have a budget for a paid plan from day one, it’s a reasonable choice.

Can data be transferred between Masters and Talenza?
There’s no automatic import in either direction — services, schedule, and clients have to be set up again, which takes about 5 minutes for the basic settings.

Can you run group classes — stretching, yoga, workshops?
In Masters’ public booking widget, the “Date and time” step is built as choosing one slot for one client — there’s no counter of taken spots in a class, so a group has to be assembled outside of booking. Talenza has a separate type of service — group: the pro sets how many people fit, and the client on the booking page sees how full it is (“3 of 8”) and books the same class on their own.
